This past week, Backyard Sports Cares hosted two separate groups of deserving campers at Brant Lake Camp, a private summer camp in the Adirondacks. BYSC hosted thirty school-aged children from the New Flex Foundation of Mt. Vernon, and seven residents from the Youth Shelter Program of Westchester, a rehabilitation program offering teenagers a second chance alternative to incarceration.

The visitors were treated to a full regimen of typical summer camping activity including sports, swimming, cookouts, campfires, hiking, and bunk life.

Brant Lake is a third-generation sleep-away camp owned and operated by the Gersten Family. This is the fifth summer Brant Lake has opened their campus to this program.
