The Leichtner Family of Scarsdale and the Rohdie Group real estate company got together for a spin class fundraiser at Fly Wheel in Scarsdale on Saturday, March 12th.  Friends and families participated in a high energy program, which netted over $10,000 for Backyard Sports Cares (BYSC) programs.  Joining the group were Mamaroneck High School BYSC club members, Emma Shpiz and Karina Eaton.

Joined by husband, Michael, and her father, Robert, Alyssa Rohdie of the Rohdie Group coordinated the SWAG and supplied the energy for the afternoon.  Alyssa was inspired and molded by her own camp and recreational activities as a youth.  “This was an easy cause to get behind, ” Alyssa said.  “To celebrate the work and efforts with not only financial support, but an activity shared with friends and colleagues makes everyone feel good about themselves.”

Ron Leichtner, whose daughter Sam, plays for the Scarsdale tennis team and volunteers for Backyard Sports, was also happy to engage in one of his favorite activities. He believes that participating as a family is a great way to support a cause you care about while demonstrating that family time can also benefit the community at large.
