Pediatric Urgent Care Provider to Help Sponsor Afterschool Recreational Programming
at Mt. Vernon Elementary Schools
Backyard Sports Cares (BYSC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality sports programming to young athletes with limited access to community programs, announced today a strategic partnership with PM Pediatrics, one of the nation’s largest providers of specialized pediatric urgent care, with locations in Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Long Island and New York City. As part of the alliance, PM Pediatrics is helping to underwrite recreational programming at the Edward Williams Elementary School “Amazing Afternoon” Program and the Hamilton Elementary School “Off the Streets” program. This funding supplements the generosity of Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), the lead agency sponsoring these programs, which benefit Mt. Vernon grade schoolers with limited access to sports programs.
“Our new collaboration with PM Pediatrics is well matched on multiple levels,” said Danny Bernstein, executive director, Backyard Sports Cares. “We both care deeply about the health and welfare of our youth as the next generation of leaders, and we see this relationship as one that will expose PM Pediatrics’ patients to appropriate BYSC sports programs, as well as providing BYSC families with relevant health and wellness information sourced from the medical experts at PM Pediatrics.”
