BYSC Club Members Help Out At Turkey Trot

Posted on

On Sunday, November 24th, over 20 Mamaroneck High School Backyard Sports Cares Community Club volunteers teamed up with the Mamaroneck public school SEPTA to participate in the Turkey Trot walk/run.  It was a huge success, raising over $600 to help fund special needs sports programs for the district. MHS students completed the mile with a handful of children with a variety of special needs. It was great for returning volunteers to reunite with children they had helped in the past, and for new members to meet the children. Even though it was a bone-chilling day, it was certainly heartwarming to help the children cross the finish line!
