Friday night was all smiles for the more than 60 kids from White Plains and Port Chester who came to play in a new tennis clinic in a collaborative Public/Not-for Profit partnership with Sound Shore Indoor tennis and the USTA Eastern Region. Spearheaded by Backyard Sports Cares , 8 local tennis professionals as well as local high school volunteers and families made the first night a complete success as the kids bonded with the group and had their first lessons on the Sound Shore tennis courts. This was a great opportunity to learn and hone their skills on the “big” courts, thanks to Sound Shore Indoor Tennis’s generosity. After opening warm ups and tennis drills, the kids relaxed in the lounge for some much needed fuel..Pizza!
