I am Nesta Felix, proud Board Member of Backyard Sports Cares (BYSC). Through their outstanding programs, BYSC has been serving youth in our community for the past 3 years. They have created many opportunities for children and teens whose success may not have been realized otherwise. From summer programs to year round events and activities, Backyard Sports truly epitomizes love and a commitment to changing the world for under-privileged youth. Because of this organization our kids have hope again.
My favorite BYSC program is the Brant Lake Experience where youth are given the chance to spend the weekend camping at Brant Lake, NY. It is an amazing time and so many new experiences are shared with children who have never experienced the joys of nature, hiking, playing lacrosse or swimming in a beautiful lake.
The community needs programs like BYSC because an investment is being made where many have given up and young lives are being saved.
