On Sunday, March 17th, over 150 players and nearly an equal amount of spectators filled the Knicks/MSG Training Center in Greenburgh for the inaugural Backyard Sports Cares 3X3 Adult Basketball tournament to raise funds for our community. Vernon and the EXCEL afterschool program in White Plains. Over 1,000 BYSC kids and families had a beautiful sunny day watching the Mets beat the Marlins at Citi Field on the opening weekend of baseball. This event gave adults and kids alike a chance to cheer on the home team while relaxing and enjoying each other’s company.
Again this summer, BYSC will be partnering with the White Plains Youth Bureau, New Rochelle School District and The Carver Center in Portchester to run their summer sports camp programs serving over 400(???) children in our community.
