It was a very special night in early June at Saxon Woods when more than 125 people gathered to celebrate Danny Bernstein and all he has done for Backyard Sports Cares. Between sipping cocktails, enjoying the wonderful food and sharing stories of Danny, we managed to carve out a few minutes for some special guests to say a few words.
Danny’s wife Beth took the floor first and regaled us with some wonderful stories from the early days of Backyard Sports Cares. Our Chief Program Officer Vin Minotti (who has been around since the very first day) provided more memories. And then some of our community partners and additional staff took the microphone leaving the room with plenty of laughs (and even a few misty eyes).
Needless to say, it was a wonderful celebration for our founder who will always be remembered for his unending commitment to the thousands of children whose lives have been made better by Backyard Sports Cares.
