With resounding support from key community partners and families, BYSC held its 4th annual 3×3 basketball tournament on Saturday April 16th at Iona Prep in New Rochelle.  This event was another huge success, raising more than $45,000 and bringing together many friends and partners from our community. Special thanks to our community sponsors, particularly Houlihan Lawrence, PM Pediatrics, and NY Sports Medicine Institute.

Over $45,000 was raised to help and support our programs for under-served and special needs children experience the joy of team sports

Advocate Brokerage, another key partner and main sponsor for our special needs half time “All Star Game”, was thrilled to be a part of our event again. Advocate’s owner, Denise Koslowsky, was inspired by the day which attracted hundreds of basketball enthusiasts (130 players) and fans as well as the Westchester Knicks Dancers and North Carolina basketball legend Derek Wittenberg. “This event brings so many people together and is truly community building at its best”. Isabella and Devin Goldman, twin sisters, were also inspired to action, raising funds by selling pictures depicting inspirational quotes and donating the proceeds. “Dunk Your Kicks” representatives Haley Sontag and Leah Glucksman were also on hand to collect sneakers; each pair donated raises funds for Pediatric Cancer. Special thanks to Bernie Mahoney, Athletic Director and Sean D’Alfonso of Iona who generously helped make our first year at Iona Prep such a success!
