Armonk middle school tennis players Ethan Wolland, Justin Buchbinder, and Zac Cornell wanted to do something very special with their love for tennis. In March, with the cooperation of Armonk Tennis, the boys hosted 15 underserved youth from the Slater Center in White Plains to a Sunday evening program of tennis lessons and treats. Assisted by the facility’s pros, Marc Farrell and Matt Finnerty, the children received a full hour of tennis activity followed by a pizza party. The Armonk students recruited four other peers to help with the on court lesson.  When asked what inspired him to organize the event, Ethan Wolland commented,” We wanted to provide an opportunity to share our love of tennis with kids who never had the means to play.  It felt really good to make a difference.”
