As we conclude another school year of productive and creative programming, I remain in awe of the incredible partners who make our work both accessible and pleasurable. This season we held several events which exemplify the fruits and benefits of meaningful collaboration.
Our Friday night tennis program at Sound Shore Indoor Tennis would not take place without the generosity and gracious hospitality of Angela Stevens, the owner and director. In addition, the tennis pros and volunteer families and players have contributed both their time and expertise to give our deserving kids an opportunity to learn tennis in a magnificent private facility.
I am inspired not necessarily by the acts of kindness, but more so by the joy and enthusiasm from where this benevolence originates. Each event brought a warm and positive response not just from the players, but the individuals responsible for the event. I am delighted to discover that we are not just in the business of improving the neighborhoods that we serve, but enriching and bridging communities on both sides of the economic divide.
