Our Backyard Sports Cares Benefit Gala will recognize and honor Founding Board Member Jocelyn Sontag and our 2024 BYSC "Red Shirt" Volunteers. All proceeds from the event will allow more young athletes with limited access to community programs to attend Backyard Sports Cares programs.
Since 2009 Backyard Sports Cares has operated sports based youth development activities in Westchester County. Simply stated, our mission is to provide high quality recreational programming to children who have limited access to traditional youth sports programs either because they live in underserved communities or they have special needs. With positive mentoring and appropriate instruction we build self-confidence and a lifetime love of sports. Each year Backyard Sports Cares touches the lives of over 5,000 deserving children in Westchester.
