Special Events

Backyard Sports Cares provides free monthly special events for children and young adults ages 6-21 with special needs. Staffed by Westchester’s leading teachers and peer volunteers, our events provide a safe, fun and welcoming environment for our athletes to connect and build friendships on Friday and Saturday evenings. Our monthly special events may include bowling, hiking, fishing, ropes courses, snow tubing, movie nights, sporting events, plays, cooking/baking, and a rotation of other exciting new activities every season! All of our events are thoughtfully adapted to accommodate a wide range of ability levels with an emphasis on kindness, confidence building and connection.
