Supported by the Westchester Jewish Community Service’s Off the Street Program, Mt. Vernon’s Hamilton Elementary School offers an after school program, which provides 80 at risk K-5th grade children a safe place for homework help and enrichment activities. Backyard Sports has been the recreational partner for the past three years, providing team sport programming to expose the students to both healthy movements and mentoring. We use teacher/coaches and student athletes to share their love of sport with a very deserving population of children. Currently, our Lacrosse Program is in full swing, led by Scarsdale High School Juniors, Macie Wasserberger and Ali Bauersfeld.
