Every year, Backyard Sports Cares organizes an exciting Field Day for the nearly 200 youth enrolled in the White Plains Youth Bureau’s Bits N’ Pieces summer camp. Divided by age group, energetic campers rotate between six activities that include tug of war, relay races, gaga, soccer and more. Overseen by BYSC staff and volunteer coaches, kids engage in friendly competition with one another, and even get to compete against their counselors. And inevitably, Youth Bureau Camp Supervisor Ray Tribble helps them cool off with an unexpected spray from the hose!
“We have a wonderful relationship with Backyard Sports, and they do a great job. Field Day is a big hit with the kids. We especially appreciate Backyard Sports’ volunteer coaches who work so hard to ensure every camper has fun in a safe and well-supervised environment.”
