Neither gusting winds nor pelting rain could deter our Junior Board members from attending our first meeting. Returning members were joined by many new high school students who have been serving as volunteer peer mentors in BYSC programs throughout our Westchester community. “Coach” Danny Bernstein spoke to the group about the purpose of the Junior Board and challenged the members to become leaders and bring their ideas and energy to the Board in creative ways. The purpose of the board is to provide a strong voice about youth sports in our area while also helping with volunteering and fundraising efforts.
